Weekend Update

I didn't track over the weekend. I don't know if that was a wise decision or not, but I just didn't do it. We'll see. I will be back at tracking Monday morning. I will post a weigh-in report on Thursday morning. I still have 7 pounds to go, but I haven't gained any! Silver lining baby!

Been A While, Huh?

I won't beat myself up for it. I am here now. I lost all of the weight I wanted to by my birthday, 3 months ago. But it started coming back on. I want to have it gone before Thanksgiving and keep it off over the holidays. I am going to try the tracking thing here again. "Try" being the operative word! I want to loose 7 pounds in the next two weeks. Doable. Hard, but doable. My hip is finally better after several trips to the chiropractor, so I think I will be able to start doing some exercise next week. I am very exited about this! So here we go:

Stuck

I am stuck. Stuck at 155. Not a bad place to be stuck, but stuck nonetheless. I have ten more pounds that I want to loose. By my birthday. In 3 weeks. That is just over 3 pounds per week. I am not thinking that I am going to make it to my goal. My goal that I set on my son's 4th birthday in April. It is soooo frustrating! Sometimes my choices are not the best. Sometimes they are great! Guess that I why I am stuck. Hoping to see the scale move a little. In the downward direction. Traveling for the next two weekends with my anniversary in the middle. We'll see right?

The Proverbial Monday

Why is it that every waits til Monday to start or re-start their "diets"?
Anyway, vacation was great, but I ate too much junk, not enough fruits and veggies and didn't drink enough water! I came home feeling BLOATED! I decided to make out my food plan for the week and stick to it. So far, I have done a decent job, and I am correcting it when I haven't stuck to it for whatever reason. It is helping me to not have to think out portion sizes or points...I do it all on one day and have it for a week. I think this will help with menu planning and grocery shopping too, I hope! I am still trying to find a way to lower our grocery budget, because it is just too high!
I made it back to the gym last week for one day and went today also. We cancelled my old membership at Gold's and joined an athletic club in town that has a pool that is heated and open year round. We have really wanted to be able to take the kids swimming more and the beach just isn't the place to teach them. They have been taking lessons, but being in the pool more is what is helping the most. I am hoping to meet with a trainer in a couple of weeks to get set up on a weight program because I really want and need to do some toning...cardio is good, but building muscle (don't read bulk) is what will help me maintain my weight loss long term.
I plan to start back posting my tracker...starting today. It will be here every night, is what I am thinking, so check back!

Back and On Track

I am finally well and so are my kids! I had pneumonia, and was hoping to finally start working out again this week while on vacation (crazy huh?), but after three trips up two flights of stairs, I was breathing heavy and exhausted! Maybe I will just start with walking! Jonathan had double pneumonia and Jacob has strep. The month of June has been pretty rotten and I am glad to kiss it goodbye today...maybe I will even kiss it goodbye with a beer or glass of wine! I lost three pounds while sick, and I wasn't tracking. Great right? The downfall is that I have to start tracking again since I put those pounds back on! So, I am making a commitment to eat well (meaning healthy:)) and track while on vacation.
I hope you haven't forgotten about me!
